Welcome to ZimAd Connect, Zimbabwe’s advertising and marketplace platform. By accessing or using ZimAd Connect, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the platform.
1. About ZimAd Connect
ZimAd Connect provides an online platform where individuals, businesses and organisations can advertise products, services, properties, jobs and business opportunities and connect with potential buyers, customers or applicants.
ZimAd Connect facilitates connections between users but is not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.
2. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account to access certain features of the platform. You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your login details secure.
You must not:
- Create an account using false or misleading information.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Share your password or account access with others.
- Use another person’s account without permission.
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of misleading users or avoiding restrictions.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
3. Posting Advertisements
Sellers must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information in their listings.
Listings should include accurate descriptions, prices, locations, contact information and genuine images where applicable.
You must have the legal right and authority to advertise and sell the products or services you list.
ZimAd Connect may review, edit, reject, suspend or remove listings that violate these Terms, our Seller Guidelines or applicable laws.
4. Prohibited Content and Activities
Users may not use ZimAd Connect to advertise, promote, sell or facilitate:
- Illegal drugs or controlled substances.
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives or prohibited weapons.
- Stolen goods or property.
- Counterfeit or illegally reproduced products.
- Fraudulent IDs, certificates, documents or financial instruments.
- Adult sexual services, prostitution or explicit sexual content.
- Child sexual exploitation or any content involving the exploitation of minors.
- Terrorist or violent extremist activities.
- Illegal gambling or betting activities.
- Pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes or fraudulent investment opportunities.
- Dangerous or unlawful chemicals or hazardous materials.
- Fraud, scams or deceptive business practices.
- Any other product, service or activity prohibited by applicable law.
ZimAd Connect may remove content or restrict accounts where there is a suspected violation.
5. Buyers
Buyers are responsible for evaluating listings and sellers before entering into a transaction.
Users should verify products, services, ownership, authenticity, pricing and other relevant information before making payment or entering into an agreement.
ZimAd Connect does not guarantee that a listing, seller, product or service is genuine, accurate, available, safe or suitable for a particular purpose.
6. Transactions Between Users
Transactions are conducted directly between buyers and sellers unless ZimAd Connect expressly provides a transaction or payment service.
ZimAd Connect does not guarantee that a transaction will be completed or that either party will fulfil their obligations.
Users are responsible for agreeing on payment, delivery, collection, returns, refunds, warranties and other transaction terms.
For high-value transactions, users should conduct appropriate verification and use reasonable safety precautions.
7. Payments and Promotions
Regular advertising may be available free of charge. Certain optional promotional features or paid services may require payment.
Where a paid service is offered, the applicable price and payment terms will be displayed before purchase.
ZimAd Connect may change promotional services, pricing or availability from time to time.
8. Content Submitted by Users
By submitting a listing, image, description, logo or other material to ZimAd Connect, you confirm that you have the necessary rights to use and publish that material.
You grant ZimAd Connect permission to display, reproduce, format and promote submitted listing content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the platform.
You remain responsible for the content you submit.
9. Intellectual Property
The ZimAd Connect name, logo, website design, branding and original platform content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or commercially exploit ZimAd Connect’s protected content without permission.
User-submitted content remains the responsibility of the person or business that submitted it.
10. Reporting and Complaints
Users are encouraged to report listings or accounts that appear fraudulent, misleading, illegal, abusive or otherwise violate these Terms.
ZimAd Connect may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including removing listings, suspending accounts or restricting access to the platform.
Where appropriate, serious matters may be referred to relevant authorities.
11. Disclaimer
ZimAd Connect provides a platform for users to advertise and connect. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality, safety, authenticity, availability or performance of products, services, properties, jobs or opportunities advertised by third parties.
Users are responsible for making their own decisions and conducting appropriate checks before entering into transactions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ZimAd Connect will not be responsible for losses, damages, disputes, fraud, misrepresentation or other consequences arising from transactions or interactions between users.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Account Suspension or Termination
ZimAd Connect may suspend, restrict or terminate an account or remove listings where we reasonably believe that a user has:
- Violated these Terms or our guidelines.
- Posted prohibited or illegal content.
- Engaged in fraudulent or deceptive activity.
- Misused the platform.
- Created a risk to other users or the platform.
Where appropriate, users may be given an opportunity to resolve an issue or appeal a decision.
14. Privacy
Use of ZimAd Connect is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how user information is collected, used and protected.
15. Changes to These Terms
ZimAd Connect may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date.
Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are intended to be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of Zimbabwe.
Any disputes should first be addressed by contacting ZimAd Connect so that the parties have an opportunity to resolve the matter where possible.
